The passion for cheese runs deep in the Rupp family. Since 1908, they have been dedicated to producing delicious, high-quality cheese — a tradition that continues with great devotion to this day.

It started with Emmental

Josef Rupp I. was one of the first to produce Swiss-style cheese in Austria. Today, the company supplies more than 60 countries.

100-year anniversary and acquisition of the Alma brand

2003

Schreiber & Rupp Joint Venture with a focus on the private label market

2014

Acquisition of a cut and wrap company for natural cheese packaging in Germany

2016

Expansion in Middle East with sales office in Dubai (UAE)

2022

4th generation enters Management Board and acquisition of Ingredient Solutions (IRL)

2023

After more than 40 years, Josef Rupp III. retires John Broekmans joins the team as CEO

2024

Foundation of Rupp UK and Rupp ASIA

2025

New construction of the production plant in Boherbue, Ireland

2025

Acquisition of the Spanish company Juan Martinez S.L. as of July 1.
