With the power of the sun
Rupp uses a 5,404 m² solar system for regenerative power production. Since 2020, we’ve been able to save 878 tonnes of CO2 emissions with the power of the sun. This is equivalent to 26,220 trees planted.
Moreover, a heat exchanger allows us to re-use the process heat generated in our plant and saved 367 tonnes of CO2 emissions in 2023.
As ÖKOPROFIT certified company, we strive to use resources as carefully as possible because this is economically indispensable. An intact environment is the pre-condition for the high-quality raw materials we need to produce the best cheese.

Sustainable resource management
In cooperation with the ARA (Altstoff Recycling Austria), Rupp is dedicated to sustainable resource management. So, for example, all packaging waste in the company is systematically separated, collected and recycled. In 2023 we were able to save about 150 tonnes of CO2. That’s about 1.9 million car miles.
