Rupp, the private cheese making company, sets itself the target of only providing the best cheese. Taste and quality go together. Good taste demands continuous high quality – from raw materials, to processing and finally packaging of the cheese. We work in accordance with a strict HACCP concept promoting food safety and consumer protection. Conforming with statutory standards and regulations is a matter of course for us. This is why our locations are regularly inspected by independent institutions and auditors with regard to hygiene and food safety.

The environment is of central importance to us

An essential concern of Rupp, the private cheese making company, is protection of and sustainable interaction with the environment. An unspoilt environment is the precondition for qualitatively high value raw materials from which the best cheese can then be produced. This is why we are an ÖKOPORFIT-certificated company. ÖKOPROFIT is a cooperative project between communities and local businesses with the aim of lowering operating costs and, at the same time, using natural resources carefully (including water and energy).

Seal of quality for our cheese specialities

Most of our tasty natural cheese specialities have been awarded the AMA Seal of Quality certification and are usually made from pure hay-milk. Our Vorarlberger Bergkäse and Alpkäse specialities bear the Protected Designation of Origin label and are also made from the purest hay-milk.
